Yesterday, I had a date with Ruzaini and Ashikin for our inaugural Art Jam session at Arteastiq. It was a whole lot of fun and it rekindled my love for Art and painting.
The canvas board that you see in the foreground belongs to me. If you’re wondering what it is all about, well.. let me tell you more. (But honestly, it was more of an impromptu design.)
Description: The boy depicts myself, lost in the transformation between a youth and an adult. The bigger face shows a facade that he shows to the world whilst the smaller face shows his true self, colored by his own visions of his own life. While he tries to remain ignorant of this transformation, as clearly depicted by the words “Whatever” at the bottom of the painting, he stays confused by the decisions he has to make in reality as differed by what he imagines life to be. Amidst these processes, he remains optimistic from the portrayal of the bright colors in the painting.
(Wow. I did not just crap that whole paragraph out. Hahaha)
